The Changing Tides in the Hotel Sector

The demand for hotel accommodation, especially the economy sector and independent brands, continues, driven by an increase in visitor numbers from overseas and more UK residents spending holidays in the UK.

Add in the trend for modular buildings, ‘smart solutions’ and adaptive reuse of buildings and it is clear that the tides are changing dramatically into how hotel buildings are designed, developed, refurbished and run.

GEZE UK is hosting a panel discussion with key influences in the industry:

  • Tobias Brown - Development & Acquisition –DACH/CEE/CIS (easyHotel PLC)
  • Jo Moon – Director of Property Acquisitions – Whitbread (Premier Inn)
  • Sarah Green –Development Director UK & Ireland (Hilton Worldwide)
  • Neil Andrews – Associate Director & Head of Interiors (Dexter Moren)
  • Clive Hillier –Senior Consultant, Hospitality Asset Management – Colliers International

The panel will discuss these exciting trends and their possible impacts on design and construction.

Karen Sum of GEZE UK will be providing some trends and statistics on the sector and gathering feedback on these trends from the panel, before inviting the audience to ask their own questions.

Taking place at The Yacht on Thursday 10th May the event begins at 8.30am with tea, coffee and pastries with the panel discussion starting at 9am. Afterwards more refreshments will be available and the opportunity to network.

Moored at Temple Pier, Victoria Embankment, The Yacht is a permanently moored luxury boat with unbeatable views over the River Thames and London.
