GEZE UK Limited Brexit Statement – Updated October 2020

The Brexit transition period ends on 31st December 2020. Unless a free trade agreement is reached, from this point the movement of goods to and from the EU will be classified as Imports and Exports.

To cover any potential disruption to supply at the point of entry to the UK from January 2021, GEZE UK will be increasing the stockholding of core product lines from EU suppliers at our UK warehouse. We continue to monitor government guidance as it is issued and are working closely with our parent company in Germany and other partners in our supply chain to ensure we are prepared to deal with the new EU import/export requirements.

Over the coming months, we will also be working in partnership with our customers to ensure continuity of supply and minimal disruption. We are working on the transition to UKCA marking and again we are closely following the relevant government guidelines.

As there is still much uncertainty, price increases in addition to our normal annual increase cannot be ruled out and any major impacts on costs especially due to currency volatility could result in a review of our prices.
