GEZE UK wins two awards at the National Fenestration Awards
GEZE UK celebrated a successful evening at the National Fenestration Awards 2026, taking home two awards recognising both product innovation and individual achievement. The company’s MCRdrive hermetic sliding door system was named New Product of the Year, while GEZE’s Hope Kendall received the Young Person of the Year award.
About the National Fenestration Awards
Held on Saturday 24 October at the Hilton at Doncaster Racecourse, the National Fenestration Awards recognise excellence across the UK’s fenestration industry. Winners are determined by votes from industry professionals, making the awards a valuable endorsement from customers, colleagues and peers.
MCRdrive recognised for product innovation
The GEZE UK team picking up the award for 'Best New Product' for the MCRdrive at the National Fenestration Awards.
The recognition for GEZE’s MCRdrive hermetic sliding door system highlights the innovation and technical expertise behind a system designed to meet the demanding requirement of specialist environments, including operating theatres, intensive care units and research laboratories, where effective environmental control is essential.
Its innovative lowering mechanism presses the door leaf against the frame to create a hermetic seal, supported by full-perimeter seals. Designed to achieve Class D air permeability in accordance with EN 1026 and EN 12207, and offering sound insulation of up to 37 dB, the MCRdrive combines high performance with a flexible modular design. Door leaf options include glass, high-pressure laminate (HPL) and stainless steel, giving specifiers greater flexibility to meet individual project requirements.
The award recognises GEZE’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that respond to the evolving needs of the built environment, combining specialist sealing performance, acoustic insulation and adaptable design.
Winning New Product of the Year is fantastic recognition of the engineering behind MCRdrive. It demonstrates our commitment to developing innovative, high-performance solutions that meet the demanding requirements of specialist environments.

Our second win of the evening was for GEZE’s Hope Kendall, who was named Young Person of the Year.
The award recognises the contribution of emerging talent within the fenestration sector and represents an important achievement for both Hope and the wider GEZE team.
At GEZE, investing in young people and creating opportunities for colleagues to develop their skills and careers are important parts of building a strong, knowledgeable workforce. Supporting young talent helps bring fresh perspectives into the industry while developing the expertise needed to meet its future challenges.
Hope’s achievement reflects the value of recognising individual contributions and giving people the opportunity to grow and make their mark within the business.
I’m really proud to have won Young Person of the Year. It means a lot to have my contribution recognised by the industry, and I’m grateful to GEZE for the opportunities and support I’ve received. It’s been great to be part of a team that encourages people to develop and progress, and I’m looking forward to continuing to learn and build my experience.
Hope Kendall, Estimator, GEZE UKCelebrating a double success
The double win builds on GEZE UK’s success at the 2025 National Fenestration Awards, when the company received Fire Door Product of the Year for its Slimdrive EMD-F powered swing door drive system.
We’re absolutely delighted to have won two awards at this year’s National Fenestration Awards. The recognition for MCRdrive is a great endorsement of the innovation and engineering expertise that goes into developing our products, while Hope’s achievement is something we’re equally proud of.
Both awards reflect different but equally important aspects of our business. We’re committed to developing solutions that meet the changing needs of our customers, and to supporting the people whose talent, dedication and ideas help us move forward. Congratulations to Hope and everyone involved in bringing the MCRdrive to market.
